Class info: Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on relaxing body. It targets the deep connective tissues (joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia) of the body, not the muscles. It works along the fascia sheets and try to create a release rather than a stretch to the tissues. It could be a balancing practice for yang style of yoga.
Class level: Beginner
Class sequence: Yin Yoga involves variation of seated and supine postures, typically held for 3 to 5 minutes at a time. While you are being in the posture, you will be asked to do "Grounding" technique and relax.
-Regulating the flow of Qi (energy) and blood in the body
-Increasing mobility and flexibility in the joints and connective tissues
-Releasing fascia throughout the body
-Calming and balancing to the mind and body
-Better ability to sit for meditation
-Ultimately you will have a better Yang practice
NOTE: Woman with pregnancy, woman on period, person on a full stomach are NOT allowed to do Yin Yoga with Grounding technique.
